Okay, so I don't want to rant, but I'll just start off by saying that I own a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS. It's an amazing camera, but I'm not able to attach any lens extensions, which means I can't attach a bokeh lens to it. I came across this photo on deviantart of some grass, with a REALLY strong bokeh effect to it. It's absolutely breathtaking and I only wish I could get a good bokeh effect like that. Here's the photo: http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs41/i/2009/009/1/b/I_love_grass_by_Haen9.jpg So my question is, is there any possible way to get that strong bokeh effect with the camera I have? I've tried making my own "paper lens" for bokeh, but that really didn't work for me. Any tips from photographers would be absolutely wonderful. Thank you in advance.

Bokeh is the out of focus area behind the focused subject, usually a person. Bokeh is totally the result of lens design and choosing a large aperture to provide selective focus. P&S cameras rarely can produce very much out of focus area behind the subject 1) because the user has very little control of the aperture of the lens and 2) because the sensor is so small. The larger the sensor, the better the chance of producing good "Bokeh" More on lens design within the same brand effects you will learn reading these two links, P&S cameras are dismal at shooting selective focus and thus produce mediocre Bokeh. If you really really want good out of focus backgrounds, you are going to 1) have to buy a fully adjustable camera and medium telephoto lens and 2) test a whole bunch of lenses that fit your camera.

I'm not sure that you will be able to create a bokeh like that with your camera. I was never able to create such a shallow depth of field using a bridge camera, but you should be able to create a fairly pleasing bokeh in your own photos. You will probably need to use your camera's macro mode. Zoom in on your subject--you really need a long focal length to create a shallow depth of field, so make sure that your lens is at its full extension. You'll need to get as close as possible to your subject, and you'll get a much better bokeh effect if your background is a good distance away from your subject--I'd say at least 5-10 feet.

As early as years 10-15-20 (not to mention 30-40) back art workers (and their managers, labels and тд) were only a little poorer нефтевых than magnates. With distribution of the Internet they have started to grow poor. Scandals and investigations have begun. But it does not help a situation. For modern culture such crisis that world financial in comparison with it - simply lovely child has come. It is possible to tell that the culture sinks in a bog, but it will be not absolutely fair. More similar, as if our art has lost the way in desert and dies of dehydration, becoming similar to a skeleton more and more. In the musical plan - too.
